Well, exactly 3 weeks after collecting the CBR from SimonH (thanks again Simon!) it's back on the road, just passed the MOT and has a shiny new tax disc. Not the prettiest thing in the world, and the handling's a tad down on my Tuono, but then it's 16 years old not three!

Anyway, did the following to get her going again;

Rebuild of front calipers, new seals, then bled.
New caliper mounting screws.
Rebuild of rear brake master cylinder.
Rear caliper clean up.
New brake pads F&R.
Ebay coils & leads (don't think these were necessary in the end).
New spark plugs (what a nightmare swapping those!).
Ebay front brake lever.
New BT45s, the biggest cost.
Lots of labour freeing of the DID chain, rollers fine now, no tight spots.
Carbs off & cleaned.
Air filter cleaned.
Oil & filter change.
Ebay seat.
Much cleaning & polishing.

Result is a perfectly good bike, needs the fairing side panels, but these are so rare they seem to go for daft money, even with repairs & lugs missing!

I'd post pics, but don't seem to be able to on here. Do they have to go onto a website first? I packed up my part time LED indicator business (Motobitz) a little while back so haven't got a website any more.

Anyway, thanks again Simon, means I can stay on bikes through the winter without wrecking the Aprilia.

Sounds good! You can attach pictures to a post so try that way first, otherwise try a hosting website like photobucket or similar.
