Im not askin about performance or ride or anything other than the colour option and which is best

looks like anouther bike designed for the track...that every owner will say is great on the road....but really it aint right......the Gsxr seems to get the mixture about right...the R1 not so sure.......But hey thats just my opinion!

I must admit I prefer to see a vehicle in the metal as it were to judge colour myself, photos can be deceptive.

There is a good description of how to post piccies in the members gallerery stickies. Or failing that just ask one of us and we will alays help if we can.

Not into sports bikes my self but the Black one over at Phoenix Motorcycles in Trowbridge in there window with the gold front Ohlin forks and gold rear shock does look the buisness!

The black does look nice, but i love red/white on most bikes... it shows the detail more....so much of the bike is already black the redwhite breaks it up real nice and looks stunning

Think you're talking about the 06' SP R1 Alan.....Its a special edition with Ohlins suspension hence the gold.

geez that's a lot of money for a yamaha isn't it? And that comes from someone who has nothing against yams (wanted the tcat for months remember?)

My concern is that at 9K, come end of summer new R1`s will be around £7800ish, just look at the ZX10r was £8899 now you can pick them up for £6600 !!!
