About 15 various mopeds set out before the bigger strokers.

The peds covered over 100 miles on their rideout.

The young lad just past his CBT and restored that yellow Fizzy himself - thats his dad on the AP50

Thunderbird. I also had an AP50 in blue (had it reprayed in blue metal flake). Much better than the FS1E. I also used to use Caine Hill to ring every last mile an hour out of it.

Wicked!!! The Fs1-E and AP-50 and the RDs'. Gosh, really takes me back to my youthful 'couldnt care less attitude'! Thanks for posting the pics. ;)

Some of the bigger strokers on the rideout.

The Cafe is a Hartside - a well know biker haunt 20 miles from Penrith!

kev i agree with you the AP50 was probably not as popular as the FS1E but had the edge over the fizzy on top speed, also remember another lad rode a much older Garreli or Gillera and that went like stink left the rest of us standing, another had a puch JPS special i bet theres not many of them around now, lovely looking moped.cheers steve :)

No X7's at all

There was a GT380 and a 550 along with the boiler in the picture.

The RG500 in the last picture outside the cafe was a minter. He came past my 400 and left me for dead.

He came to the rally with it in a purpose built box trailor. :-/
