A BIKER who died after crashing into a lamp post between Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon on Friday morning has been named.
Wiltshire Police confirmed this morning that the victim of the crash at Trowle Common was Graham Mark Powell, 46, of Trowbridge.
Mr Powell lost control of his Triumph motorbike and hit the post at about 8.15am.
Police said a post mortem examination will be held tomorrow at the earliest and an inquest will be opened shortly afterwards.

dont know if he is a member of this forum but if i did not any better i would say he sounds a bit like the former head master of george ward school
I know a Graham in Trowbridge with a Triumph Trophy 1200 in his 40's, but I don't want to ring his number just in case.
RIP, really horrible news :(
It was the Graham I knew.
He lived in the next road to me and had only just moved to Trowbridge with his girlfriend and rode a 1200 Trophy.
The last time I saw him to speak to was at Calne on the 19th July. A very pleasant person.
Our toughts are with his girlfriend and family.

Always makes it worse when it's that close to home...RIP

I was Grahams partner and stumbled across your site by accident while going through his computer. I just wanted to say thank you for your kind thoughts for Graham and his family, they are much appreicated.
The inquest into the accident is not yet complete but the police have informed us that there may have been problems with his tyre pressures so my second reason for leaving this message is to say please check your tyre pressures more often, even several times a week as Graham checked his once a week but we have been informed that this is possibly not often enough.
Thanks again for your kind thoughts and take care out there.

How kind of you to think of other bikers at this really sad time for you and your family. I'm sure I speak for all of us on the site when I say we all think 'That there but for the grace of god, go I'. In other words it could have been any one of us. especially since it seems Graham's accident was not his fault. Bless you, Cat. Kathy.
Our thoughts are definitely with you Cat, and we look forward to welcoming you to the WB family!
i`ll second what dabz said above, welcome to the group look forward to meeting you one day, our thoughts this end are with you...kev
