Hi Guys,

Does any one know a good garage in Trowbridge. I have a made a right hash of an oil change, it went a little like this:

18 stone of hamfisted home mechanic
Tool kit
old oil out
new filter in
new filter in
Over do bolt for oil filter cover
1 one very leaky TDM 850
18 stone of very p**sed of hamfisted home mechanic
4.5l's of oil wasted

I had not ridden it all year, thought I would get it sorted and manage to bugger it up!

Torque wrench at top of Christmas list!

I think I will try Lightning, Pheonix have been a bit funny when I have been in there, saying they don't like servicing it because it is older than 6 years.

Cant understand them saying that seeing as they done the valve shims on my TDM in early 2007

They can get quite funny.
Didn't want to service the Bonnie (12k service on a 2003 bike)
Also didn't want to do any work on my wife's 1982 Honda CM250

Just been to see Lightning, very friendly.

Going to take the oil pan off and then he is either going to drill it out, or get it spark eroded.

Max of about £50-60, should have bought the torque wrench!!

I was going to get it sorted and then the clutch went on Gems car! Just before it needed an MOT! Then it needed new discs and pads to pass the MOT!

So had to spend the cash on sorting that instead. It's going to by winter project.

Probably a bit late now but the guys down at Bike Aid are a good bunch of lads. I use them all the time. Fast and a great laugh. Proper bikers running a proper bike garage. Get hold of them on 01225 755888 8-)
