View Full Version : damage
whats the best way to get rid of scratches and scuff marks on fairing with keeping the same finnish without getting re-sprayed? :)
lol duno how to get hold of new faireing mate or how much it is, any ideas
well I'm no expert on bike finnishes but If its' like a cars' maybe T-cut or one of the available "scratch"removers would suffice, especially If the scuffs are not down to the plastic panels! I'm sure there's more knowledgable people on here to offer advice! ;)
some of them are mate, the guy befor me dropped it and its all rubish looking lol

In that case then those"cutters" will not suffice.Sorry to hear that mate. :(
hmmmmmmm puzzled what to do what to do
What about"plastic padding",the filler? Unfortunately you will end up having to use a touch up spray in the end! :-/
Get a really good insurance cover for an agreed amount and torch it [smiley=thumbsup.gif] problem solved

Custom paint job, all over :)
basically, you're going to have to live with it - if it's deeper than lacquer then it's either repaint & decals (very expensive) or a new panel (if you can get one - and that'll be mega £'s)
ok so if i was going to do a custom paint job, how would i go about it and get a great finish??

I've had some quite good success with 'Greygate Plastic Polish'. It's basically what we use in the RAF on aircraft transpanrencies and canopies.
I used it on my last bike and a friends and it managed to remove over 90% of the scuffs & small scratches that we had. 8-)
cool, where would i be able to get some
