NO this isnt spam or any kind of bull sh't, i am now getting the bike fixed thanks to a very kind company called provident ;D. so have now taken the bike off ebay and am looking forward to hitting the road again at the end of next week if all goes well at the shop. As for gloves I like the BKS ones at £125, Spidi at £140 or my cheapy Supermoto Alpinestars (that I wear 90% of the time!) £70 but they are freezing cold plenty of protection though. I don't wear winter gloves as I can't stand having no feeling [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Steve, I have a couple of pairs of gloves that I was going to put on fleabay, haven't got round to it yet - what size hands do you have? These are a generous medium (ie. slightly on the large side), and I have a pair of Belstaff race gloves in black and yellow that are a smaller medium, hardly ever worn. I can post a pic of those if you like, you could have either pair for a tenner :)

Have a look at Tesco compare they had allsorts of different ones and some only had the deposit as the rest of the payments
No-one ever said biking was cheap!

Did you check out Tesco compare? Were they any good for you? the reason I ask is I'm often asked about insurance companies so just trying to find out.

it helps having loads of NCB, garage, thatcham lock and alarm, advanced rider, qualified instructor, bikesafe training and being nice to the person at the end of the phone

I find them comfy and prob done about 20000 miles in mine. badly fitting gloves could cause an accident so get some that fit ::)

im so rubbish, we came over this morning i got myself some new leather bottoms and ended up getting a new bike. Calne black ninja went with me and we spoke to the other stu. Thats the third bloomin bike we have brought from him in 2 years. He needs to be given the sack or were going to go broke! Was a good day tho :) im coming back next sat to pick it up so ill make sure i say hi then :)
Oh well at least you got sorted - would have been nice to have said hello ::)

What bike did you buy HMB, I bought a new bike yesterday (sorry Stu, not at George Whites, but then you don't sell Triumphs), I bought the new Bonneville, they've lowered it and made it feel so much lighter, it's lovely and I can't wait to get it, unfortunately I have to wait about a month.
i got a new yamaha YZFR in black :) its lush! I only have to wait a week for mine which is nice. What time did u go out rosie because calne black ninja and i passed you on our way home.
very nice bike mate, will have to go for a ride when ya get it sorted [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I was out on Bonny at about 3pm, got completely lost in Swindon, had to negotiate the magic roundabout and everything! I was heading home at about 4.30, saw a few bikes so wouldn't have recognised you. Not sure what a YZFR is like, what cc is it, does it mean you've passed your test??

Hi Kev, I've got the brand spanking new Special Edition. They've lowered the seat by an inch and put a 17" wheel on the front as well as the back which makes the bike 2 and a half inches lower than the SV. The centre of gravity is obviously much lower and makes it feel sooo much lighter, hopefully less likely for me to drop it!! It's in Pacific Blue and Fusion White. I'm so excited! Just have to pay for it now!!

I looked at one the other weekend in Fowlers. Very nice with the cast wheels and will probably weather the elements better than the spoked ones.
Can't wait to see it.

just an update on the bike, all discs have been changes,and most of the brake pads, but one ofthe calapers now needs new dust seals or something, should be here by the morning, so fingers crossed will be out and about by sat [smiley=thumbsup.gif] its had new numberplate, tyer valve also done .
Hi Rosie, very excited about picking up the bike tomorrow :D Although the weather isnt supposed to be nice >:( I hope it doesnt rain I dont want to ride in the rain. :-/
