On a plus note wheelies are slowly getting better [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I was soooooo wary of attempting it infront of everyone, panicking and laying it down. Best to shoot up the road and do a 3 pointer

SmallButCute22
05-05-09, 02:06 PM
Awwww bless ya!! At least you didn't look like a complete muppet turning up there on ya tod like me!!

IanTasker
06-05-09, 01:43 PM
Shhhhhh the wheelie police lurk in ever corner mate ;D

Yea your advice was wicked mate [smiley=thumbsup.gif], just need to find a longer stretch of private road as the bit on camp is 100m long max.

Well the old air field at Wroughton is free to use and if you cant do it on that pack the bike up and send it back..... ;D :D ;D :D ;)

IanTasker
06-05-09, 04:05 PM
Where-a-bouts is Wroughton? I would say the security would have to catch me to escort me but i ride like a crippled tortoise with 3 legs so they'll have no problems there

SmallButCute22
06-05-09, 04:07 PM
Wroughton is Swindon.....jnct 16 M4......10 min ride from my house :)

Like a few have said maybe best to work on the basics of u turns before being a smart arse on the wheelies ;D lol and I know u turns arent easy on sports bikes i tried one on a fireblade on Sun - lets leave that one there! Yet to try on on the ER6 if i ever get it back from George Whites!!

We did wonder if you had got lost though that night poor dave was sat there for ages waiting for you

IanTasker
07-05-09, 11:14 AM
Come back when you've got a 'proper' bike :P The turning circle of a sports bike is comparable to that of the QE2 hence going up the road and doing a 3 pointer, and as said i didnt want to drop it and look a clown infront of you lot. Now naff off back to your scooter :D

SmallButCute22
07-05-09, 11:49 AM

Hey you can pull wheelies on Scooters....
My mate who has a scooter for the town riding and a CB1300 for out and about riding can pull well long wheelies on the scoot (in the fire yard and not on the road mind you)

So Ian, when you wheelie like a Riding God past the chippie/secondary school/youth club and impress all the girlies, how or where are you going to turn round to claim your panting pubescent prize?? :-?
They are big, and they are clever, but sort the basics out first eh mate? ;) ;D ;D ;D A U-turn can be done on a regular road on any sportsbike, save a few Ducati exceptions probably... ::)
Following your pant-wetting wheelie (the girls' not yours) a swift U-ey (ideally with knee on deck) followed by a bit of throttle and a cool rolling stoppie to finish in front of the teenage harem should do the trick.... they'll be wanting your babies in droves ;) [smiley=thumbsup.gif] 8-) [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I'm not sure about "Riding God" but rumours have been circulating that Valentino's and Casey's jobs are at risk and that my name has been put top of Yamaha and Ducati's shortlist. As for the school chicks i could always borrow one of the Swindon girls 125s, stick some neons on it and they'll flock to me in their droves. I would quite like to see someone do a knee down u-turn on a normal sized road, maybe you could show me? Right it's getting near school time............

Bubbly_Biggles

Ian school girls really!!! My 125 is or sale if you want it ;D if you think it will help you get the babes

Wheres the cops when you need one???

Trist

I don't know why you'd be doing power-on wheelies anyway.

Clutch it up. That way you'll get quicker height and maintain the wheel off the ground longer instead of running out or revs so quickly - I don't think its just those Swindon girls that are the bunny hoppers ;)

Damnit i deliberately kept off the junkies site to stop you seeing this :-?

Yeah, hammering the throttle and dumping the clutch (by mistake admittedly) will have that effect :P
