Danger Black Ice!

Had an off today on the way to the Sally, sheet black ice was on a shaded corner, evidently it is a black spot in the 'Dip' before you get to the Sally coming from the Chippenham side. Guy in a Merc 4x4 said he nearly lost it there in the morning...so bikes don't stand a chance! :'(

the road past the circuit and up to the sally was like an ice rink in places.
ended up snaking along at about 10mph!
good to hear that you are unscathed.
not too much damage to the bike i hope.

Full compliment of nylon crash bungs, Reinforced engine case and rearsets kept the bike mostly off the ground. Will post photos when I stop crying! :'( Really expected a smashed up fairing and tail piece, but all are ok! :-/ [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Glad to hear it wasn't serious.

I went for a ride down to loomies.
It was really good to get out, but there is quite a lot of grit around on the roads, so still some caution required in places.

We went out, not far though. Just needed to get out on the bike.
Played a great new game called dodge the pothole.
We saw a few bikes out and about.
