Does anyone go there on their bike? If so, where do you park? Is it free?
Not been into Bath on the bike yet but need to go tomorrow.

The times I have gone into Bath. I have not paid. Parking depends on where you are going in Bath.

If you go into Bath via A4 use can use the Bus Lane

I think you can park free on Bog Island, if you know where that is! I'm not sure of the street names but it's the road straight up from the train station.
I've often seen bikes parked there anyway!

Yes you can by Bog Island, but it's only a small space and gets a bit crowded on Saturdays. Don't know what it's like in the week.

Outside the pig and fiddle and i sometimes use the podium and just ride around the barrier. You do get bikes parking at the top of millsome street but i have been ticketed there.

Used to be some underground toilets on the island to the right in the picture, hence universally known as Bog Island to locals. Later it was a night club... :o Not sure what it is now.

I usually park at Bog Island. Try to park so no one can block you in. Some kid parked a scooter in front of me last year (with a chain through his front wheel). Good job I'm a small chap that can pick these things up and move them. ;D

I don't even know bike parking in Swindon...the amount of parking tickets I've been given, it's unbelievable. Once I went to old town to see my sister @ the bar where she worked, had a coke and got a ticket, so ended up paying £37 for a lousy coke...

This is going off thread slightly. But How can they give a bike a penalty notice for not buying a ticket. Or am I just being daft (Yes I know here comes the insults) ;D

If we buy a ticket couple things may happen.
Wind blows ticket away
Someone nicks ticket

I had this on Fistral Beach, Newquay. Ticket machine read motorcycles must display a ticket. I had the same thoughts (being nicked or blowing away) so all I could think about doing was buying a ticket and taking photo's of it on the bike.

That's what the council suggested when I called to say a ticket on a bike is daft because of the reasons mentioned by Stu.
