70 miles for a cuppa

Such a nice day I got the calling - Rode 70 miles to thatcham to see my mate for a cuppa and he'd bug***** of to basingstoke. No wonder they call me "Kenny no mates". Brill ride tho a4 was traffic free

It's really strange but I much prefer the 500 I'm learning on now to the 125 I did my CBT on, it's such a bigger, heavier bike but sooo much easier to ride.

you are two steps ahead of me Jackie, when I pass the theory, then I'll ride the restricted 500's,I've ridden bigger bikes on the road, (naughty I know) and I've got to admit, they are far more stable. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

You are eventually going to do your DAS I take it? My instructor is having a bit of a mare at the moment with the DSA cancelling lots of tests at the mo >:(

Not 100% sure think some of the examiners have left, all I know he was trying to get 12 tests booked on Thursday and was getting no where with the DSA.

typical.... government meddling with a perfectly good motorcycle testing system. I should have taken my test 35 years ago when you rode around a block and the examiner followed you around with a clipboard. >:(

I know its a bit soppy but I like to think that the biking fraternity are one big happy family. I too really enjoyed our chat at the ace and I look forward to riding with you once you get your divvy on the road

It was around the block in my case but the examiner didn't move more than 25 yards from the entrance to the test centre. Took mine in the summer and the examiner was a bit overweight think he was feeling the heat. He seemed more pleased when it was over than I was.

When I took mine (years ago) he said, 'I assume you would put a bit more effort into the emergency stop if it was a real emergency?' Then he passed me anyway! ;D

My examiner was in a car - didn't see half of what I did wrong as he was so far behind all the time!! ;D

I was followed by my examiner on a 50cc scooter and I was on my 79 CB750.

The bloke who was taking his test with me got hit in the face by a seagull and almost fell off, but we both passed with no minors because it was just a 3 mile ride around the rock with 1 roundabout and 1 set of traffic lights. The hill start was hard but I did it at an angle so it was pretty much flat.

Thank god I don't have to do it here because I've been told it's pretty hard and costs more than the £45 I spent for my licence ;D

I just couldn't do a hill start on the 125cc for love or money - in the end the instructor told me to give up and wait for the 500cc - did it first time! ;D Sometimes Jackie, you're right, they do just seem easier to ride! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
