Probably a stupid question but my bike is due for its MOT (booked in monday) and the switch to turn on high beams has stopped working, do I need this to pass my MOT as the trigger used to flash morons still works

Er, yes you do need a functioning main beam, not just a flash facility. You're certain that the flash still works, the main beam filament hasn't blown?

As far as I know if you have the lights they have to work, but I could be wrong.

Yep, if it's fitted, it has to work...

Yeah the filament is fine at the trigger flash all works fine, it must just be a dodgy connection in the switch, will have to take it apart sunday and see if I can find where the problem is

Sounds like either a dodgy Switch or a bad connection.

The only way round lights, is the daylight MoT.

Easier to fix the switch than remove all the lights! :o ;D

What about the other way around? My full beam works but the flash switch must be gone! Will it pass?? :-/
