View Full Version : Joe from GW's crashed today
Just thought I'd let you know as a lot of you know him Joe from parts crashed his ZX10r this morning and isn't in the best of states at the moment! I don't know how it fully happened as I wasn't there. So far from what I've been told its a broken pelvis in 2 places, hip and cracked/ broken 2 vertaebre. But he's chatting and still his gobby self but in a lot of pain.
Please ride safe as I can't be dealing with anymore accidents!
Get well soon mate (and I'll let you off not helping move [smiley=thumbsup.gif] )

I'm gutted as the cuts from fitting that zorst haven't healed yet! Such a shame as he was so proud of his bike :-/
It will be quiet at work for the next few weeks :(

I don't think there was anything else involved full info is a bit sketchy and I don't want to say anything that may be incorrect.
Don't know the guy, but always sad to hear of an accident and injury. Hope he has a quick and full recovery.

Seen a battered motorcycle at the Whitehouse bridge roundabout on the Great Western Way this morning!
Thought it a strange place to park a bike wrapped in "Police" tape.
I was wrestling my way through traffic myself at the time, so all was a bit of a blur.
Don't know if that was Joe's bike. But someone had obviously had a spill in that vicinity!
Get well soon Joe(from parts). :-/

Sad, sad news indeed. Hope he makes a full recovery :-/
Bit more of an update as the other test results have come back and its 5 fractures in the spine and 3 in the neck :( But they have changed him over to the soft collar and allowing him to sit up slightly which is a good thing.
I will be going to visit him tomorrow and will update after [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Opps, still lets hope he recovers soon ;)
Here's to a very quick and full recovery [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
I saw Joe last night and he's in good spirits just a bit bored. Not in too much pain for the injuries he's got but luckily his left leg is totally numb so isn't feeling anything from the pelvis/ hip. He is on the kingfisher ward if anyone wants to send him and flowers or porn :)

Joe has been released from hospital now and making a speedy recovery. Heis hoping he could possibly be working again in 3 weeks (sat down all day as can't move - is he taking my job lol) if they can't accomodate that it could be 6 weeks all being well.
I saw him yesterday and he's in good spirit [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Sorry, I was a bit slow on the uptake here, didn't realise that it was the lad I know - not well, but we always natter when I'm in there (normally about ZX-10Rs) and he was dead chuffed that his licence restriction was about to end the last time I saw him. Please say hi and best wishes from me next time you see him Stu, hopefully his bike is salvageable... :-?
