Spoted this on another forum and have read the contents.

I looked at this and thought that this not only goes for car drivers but those of us that ride bikes as well. It only takes one minor misjudgement and this could be one of us (god forbid).

The first few days are a bit of an eye opener and have certainly made me think not only when I'm in the car but on the bike also.

Not nice, sent that link to our MT Warrent Officer to use for any road safety campaign here , hopefully it will open the eyes of some of the boy and girl racers we have on camp :(

It wasn't there to put you off getting back on a bike mate only to highlight the fact that our actions have consequences.

Please don't let it put you off something you enjoy

A chilling tale indeed.... when you can be riding a motorcycle doing all the necessary planning, positioning etc for each hazard you see / approach and are suddenly confronted by what that unfortunate motorcyclist had coming towards him across both lanes of the road. :(

Take care out there WB'ers ..

Fair play to him, he's managed to keep his sense of humour.

Many things to take from that...

1.CONSEQUENCES - something we usually forget..

2. The use of posts on forums as evidence ..... (nuff said)

3. What a remarkable piece of writing it is - reflective but not self pitying. Bloody hard way to learn though.

Think this one will stay with me. :o

Thanks for sharing..
