Optimism, what's optimism?
Having been pressured into riding into work today, of which I hated every mile, I'm just thinking with dread about how much worse it gets in January and February before we get to see a hint of spring :o

Thanks Toph - I thought it quite well represents the 'rabbit in the headlights' expression that my face adopts in unfamiliar surroundings (and when on 2 wheels)! ;D
I love it too Scaredy Cat! ;D

Loops, what you need is to go off-roading and learn that sliding around can be fun when you're controlling it. Also, Knobbly tyres work better in the snow than normal road tyres [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Optimism.... Bah! Humbug!
My car's packed up, the bike is playing up, it's cold, dark, icy, the parts I need for the triumph are lost, I can't do what I wanted to do this chrismas.... so balls to optimism.
Bring back the sunshine....
I think I've only done about 2000 or 3000 miles this year. The last time I rode a bike was the beginning of October and that wasn't even my bike, just a 20 minute go on a BMW. Truely fed up with ****ty weather and especially with having no money for riding this past year :(
I miss my bike :'(
I've gone into the garage and sat on it quite a few time tho :)

Wrap up, get out and ride it... just wash it afterwards. The main roads are ok at the mo.

My experiences riding along soft sandy beach roads on 50cc mopeds in Greece is certainly helping when navigating all the half frozen slush...although the temperature isn't quite as pleasant ;D
I always ride my bike to work, in all weathers, I would have to walk otherwise, ::) but boy.... It was REALLY slippery this morning!! :o
