I need to pick up a second hand set of forks for my zx9r. It is a 1996 b3 model. I know other b model forks will fit. But does anyone know if forks from a c model or other models would fit?

Ask on zx-9r.net Tom, you will probably find someone with a spare pair too.

No they wouldn't fit, there's a fundamental difference between yours and the others - the B models had upside down forks, the remainder of the models following it had conventional ones. The only way you could fit the later ones would be to swap the yokes too, or get yours sleeved...

you can fit any forks you like into the bike - if you are willing for a bit of diy - only a matter of pressing out the original stem and fitting it into the new yokes -
USD's will be a larger diameter through the yokes, so you are better off buying a complete front end, so that leg pitch, wheel spindle, calipers, discs etc wont give you any problems!

C1 and C2 will fit as they use the same front end as the B model - same upside down forks bugger to fit and to top up with fluid, i should know had to do mine twice last year

McIcy, if you have USD forks on your C2, they ain't std mate.
