Well on the way home to Swindon last Friday after a fun time on the Hot X Bun turn out, I was following an HGV that kicked up loads of dust and dirt...

Painful right eye since and I gave in this morning and went to A&E where a nurse was very proud to find this seed hiding under my eyelid :'(...

Watch out for this one....

Last june one of my eyes got very sore, felt like there was something in it. I honestly thought there was something in it. After 2 days I went to see my doctor.

She had a look to see if there was anything in it then told me it was a condition called Iritis and I was immediately sent to the eye clinic in Bath as an emergency..........

Apparently, if your body has some kind of infection then your own immune system will attack your eye. Left untreated it can damage your eye. The body infection can be anything, I was asked loads of questions to find out if I had felt ill before my eye came up.

I had 2 weeks off work - with the treatment your have seriously blurred vision. Steroid eye drops put in every hour which decrease down to once a day over 6 weeks.
If you do not follow course it can return.

Also you have some other drops and a cream - the cream stops your eye sticking shut at night. The other drop blows up your Iris and keeps it big...

I have spoke to a couple of people that have had it. Both ended up with scaring in side the eye and have blurred vision. One got it so bad he had steroid injections into his eyeball.... :o

I have been told that sufferers can have it again and was told by the eye clinic to get in touch if I suspect I may have it again.

My other eye has scaring from an accident at work back in the 80's so I have blurred vision in that one so the condition left me half blind for a week.

I've had like 5 or 6 bugs in the eye this summer whilst visor-up??! Thinking of wearing clear glasses as well to stop this... :-/
