NOT recommended...
The comments are bizarre to say the least -
Sniper rifle took his hand off
Piston flew out and smacked his glove off
Nitrous backfire
Tank flew up and smacked him in the ribs...
I doubt personally a piston managed to burst through the cylinder head / valves / airbox & tank ::) & then smack his glove off? Furthermore I doubt there were snipers about? Im going along with the backfire explanation, a small bright flash can be seen just before the object appears...
You conspiracy theories please: :D

Just hope it was not his hand on the track :o :o

In drag racing, it's quite common for a piston to exit through the head. The guys riding the big V-twins wear carbon chest armour to protect their innards... :o

Have you seen what they do to those drag bikes?! xD they are just silly and run at unbelievably high RPM, the combination of that, nitrous and any manner of other crazy power enhancing things they can get their hands on means its quite a common problem. If you do a bit of research into drag bikes you'll soon see!
Was at brighton speed trials a couple of years ago and it happened, was talking to the guy before his run and i think he said his was running at something like 27k rmp... something like that anyway
Yep, it's not unheard of. If you search for some of the top fuel car engine mishaps they'll make your hair stand on end. Seen one of an engine actually ripping itself out of a car.

The small end fatigues as the engines run insane comperssion and rpm. The weakest point is the skirt of the piston.... one good rev and BANG!!!

I suppose a piston is essentially a mortar and the barrel its' tube...... i think i'll be keeping my mods to suspension tuning ONLY ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Try armour plate between the engine and the tank!!!!!
Won't alter the weight or centre of gravity at all!!!! ;D
