i was bored and have just finished reading the "introduction" from my haynes manual.

very interesting to know how the gsx-r we know today came about.

im now off to trawl the net for more history on them

im having a lazy sunday.......im still in my pj's (too much info? :D)

what models of gsxr have people owned?? i have been told time and time again the "best" is the k5 thou.....opinions on this??

only ever ridden the k6 750 and 600 i have little in comparison......except i found the 600 i had to work the gears more.......is this true of all 600??

Had a 600 srad. That was hard work but it made you feel like you were really riding it.

The K5 1000 isn't considered the best GSXR it's considered the best litre sports bike ever.

When BMW were developing the 1000s rr they based it on the k5 and stripped a few down to see what made it so good.

Had two WR1100's just insane bikes, now have a K7 750 which despite being smaller cc is just a different beast (obvious statement I know) and now popped my knee down cherry on it I am looking into marriage!!

Think the early K's just looked the best but that is only a personal thing..)) Happy reading.
