I for to mention this last week. ::)

I was waiting for a few WBers to pass by en-route to the H&C. I was sat in a layby on the A350.
A biker passed & nodded, nothing strange about that, then the next thing I knew was the very same biker did a U turn & came back to the layby just to check if all was OK with me & the bike.

This is a prime example of what biking is all about (in my eyes)
No matter what you ride, what style of riding you do, etc etc etc .....we are all there for each other.....something that doesnt tend to happen with cars drivers (if it does happen its rare)
I had the same thing happen to me when I was out on my own and stopped for a ciggie........a biker stopped to check I was ok which I thought was brill.
I even stopped for a girl pushing a 'ped to see if I could help.

That is one of the reasons I love riding....and being part of a fantastic community....and Wiltshire Bikers contains some of the best people within that community.

Thank you to all the selfless bikers everywhere....you all rock !!!

^ This.

When I broke down next to the M4 recently loads of cars went past just staring, then one dude on a Bandit stopped to help and a biker who was driving home from work in his car also stopped!

I've slowed/stopped to check when I've been on the bike and in the car. Not terribly mechanically minded but always willing to help out any way I can.
I always try and grin and thumbs up if someone passes me when I am stopped to save them coming back

I try to complete at least one selfless act every day (more if I have the opportunity)
I would always stop to help anyone that is in trouble.
You will find that a lot of people have the same thoughts....

Lost count of the people i've stopped to help.
Mostly women with flats with the jack upside down and not on the jacking point.

I wouldn't call it a selfless act as the self satisfied smugness I feel is worth more to me than gold. ;)

I'm always surpised by the 'walk on by' attitude of a lot of people. It happened to me a few years ago when 20 bikes passed me and not one even slowed down.
It's not about bikers or drivers, just decent members of society and selfish pr*cks.

Yep, I agree - there are still some selfish d1cks out there - but I've noticed a decided change in peoples consciousness's over the last few months
- Perhaps I've just met really nice caring people.

Back few years ago when first got this bike I ran out of fuel half way up Cain hill. It started to splutter so turned it onto reserve but found it already was so came to a stop. There is no warning light.

I biker stopped and offered to bring me back some fuel. Within couple of mins another biker stopped and I explained I was fine but he offered to stay for 10 mins to make sure 1st one returned with fuel.

1st biker arrived back with can and both escorted me to Avebury where I was heading.

Not all bikers are nice. I went to talk to a couple in Asda on Saturday to tell them about WB (they were getting ready to go as I pulled in) and they looked at me like I was vermin. Then bumped into a girl in leathers, told her the same, and she thanked me and said "ride with you soon" I also bumped into Aaron and almost completely ignored him as i didn't recognise him without his leathers

I had the same happening to me couple of years ago, I broke down on my way home(run out of fuel) on my xv535 4 miles away from home so i started pushing it home, couple of bikers slowed down and asked me if i needed any help ... still had to push my bike home by myself >:( but nice of them to ask :)

I tend to stop whether it is a car or bike.
The better half thinks I am crazy for pulling over, just in case it is some nutjob.
I just think that helping that poor person may save you some day because they will help someone else in need.
