I have an Aprilia RSV1000R 2005 with an irish plate. I've had it for about two years and this is my 3rd RSV.
at the moment the bike has 12 month mot and is up together so Im thinking of selling it and buying something different.

I would be looking at £3000 for mine and thats what I would have to spend on another. the bike will be used to commute to work and have fun in the evenings and weekends.

Any suggestions? nothing in my price range is taking my fancy ::)

Do you mean £3,000 total or £6,000? :-?

Ah, much harder then.

I guess you;d be better of going private than via a dealer....

Have you though of a VFR (or is that not sporty enough)?

Any ideas whether you fancy a twin, triple or four?

Any minimum/maximum engine size?

Any particular style of bike you like/dislike?

Im 6 foot talk about 16 stone some a bigish lad, I tend to always have big bikes like zx9, TL, fireblade and the RSV. Not to bothered with type of engine as long as it comfy for riding to work but still enjoyable for that weekend blast

Ummm I reckon you might struggle to get something as good as what you've got and which you havent had already?

You could try http://www.autotrader.co.uk/bikes putting in your budget etc and see what comes up. That may give you some ideas?

I had the ST2 and it was a real disappointment - lovely handling but really disappointed in the performance. I know the ST4 has the different engine but not sure it'll be in the same league as what you've already had. Also that clutch noise is something you love or hate.

The previous model Fazer 1000? Plenty of grunt, nice engine, good riding position, and cheap as chips... :)
