WABAM (the local IAM bike group) are putting on a rider skills day on saturday 5th May at Trowbridge.
The two main attractions are a slow riding course. There is an adapted bike (with crash bars) that you can practice slow riding on. You need to book as the bike will be in demand and there is a small fee.
The other attraction is that you can have a free assessed ride. This has the benefit of giving you some feedback and making you aware of how you might be able to benefit from doing some advanced coaching.
I can't attach the flyer as it's too big, but will attempt to get that sorted.

Dont think your link works unless you are a member?
Where is it in Trowbridge?
OK .. I have the flyer ... details as follows:
"Open Day where you can:
- take the WaBAM slow riding challenge, either on your own or on an adapted bike
- develop your slow riding skills on our obstacle course using the adapted bike (as demand likely to be high, please call 07837 050713 to pre-book your time slot and the use of the adapted bike, there will be a £4 charge for use of the bike)
- talk to the experts about avoiding those "## ####" moments
- learn how to become a better rider with our FREE assessment of your riding skills
- come and learn about the free and discounted IAM Skills for Life offers.

You do not need to book an assesment ride.
There will be a number of observers available.
If they happen to be all busy when you show up, then you'll get put on a list to wait until one is available.
You do need to book the bike if you want to use it on the slow riding course. This is because there is only specially adapted bike (I would guess it's just got crash bars on so it doesn't matter if it's dropped).
I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but I would suggest taking your documents e.g. licence, MOT, insurance.
I think they might have forgotten to mention that.
Just bumping this back to top as reminder for those interested that this event is this coming Saturday, 5th May 2012. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I popped down to this today and just thought I'd say a big thanks to the guys who were down there - Definitely worth going to and I'll definitely be signing up at some point!
Glad you got something out of it Goose.
It's a good time to sign up for the Skills for Life training at this time of year and WaBAM always looking for associates. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
