View Full Version : Track Day Bug !!!!!
Hi All
Went and done the Calfornia Super Bike School Level 1 and now got the bug for the track :)
So invested in something a bit more suited to the Job CBR600RR.
Someone has advised me that I should go and get the front forks and rear set up propley for height weight etc.
I have never played around with these settings, does anyone know somewhere to get this sort of thing done ?
Hope to see some of you at the track soon.
Andy
Nice bike for track use mate! There's quite a thriving trackday section on here (down below the meets & events bit" with plenty of track savvy people who will be able to help out!
There will be some personal preferences but JHS round Bristol way would be an option. MH racing are near J17 M4. Some track days there will be a suspension guy on site to do some mods also.

You're right Dabz, I was just having a look who's booked track days in the next few months, it's an impressive list !

I've used Mark Hammond a couple of times and he's pretty good. He's an Ohlins specialist and used to work for White Power (not the supremacists)

Andy,
I'd suggest getting the 'Twist of the Wrist' DVD, as it has an addition feature on how to set up your suspension. It's all done by Keith Code himself, and is much better than getting someone else to do it. You need to understand what you're doing, so that you can fine tune it for your preferences. Getting someone else to set up your suspension means it'll be set up for their preferences. From experience, I can tell you, that is not what you want (suspension specialist or not). :)

Good DVD and good advice but if in doubt see or speak to Mark @ MH... Top bloke and will set it up for your size and weight. He is normally happy to run through how it all actually work and the benefits . :)

I'm going to head over there with the R6 (unless I change it -again, before then) ;)
