Bike Cleaning

As the Bath show is coming up i thought i might as well run a cloth or two over the bike in preparation does anyone have any recommendations as to products worth a look, nothing fancy needed but know from my experience with cars that some products are just pointless.

otherwise its just gonna be bucket and sponge i guess :)

I was given some auto glym motorcycle cleaner, that seems to do a good job.
For the paintwork I just use car polish and wax

SDOC100, there was a BOGOF offer at http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/ a week or so ago, i got some, just blitzed the bike and it is like new, in minutes. It's not cheap, so go easy, but it wipes the floor with every other product out there, that Greentec castrol stuff is ok if you can't stomach the price of sdoc.

Mr Sheen, Back to Black (or shoe polish), window cleaner for screen, lights and mirrors and autosol for the chrome

Yep you can't beat Mr Sheen. I use it on the sidecar also on the plastics on the MT (silencer heat shields and plastic bits around the tank), nice shine and rain beads nicely

you shouldn't use autosol on new chrome its too abrasive :o i use autoglym superresin polish or ultra deep shine 8-)
