I appear to have bought another motorbike...... in kit form.
It should look like this.....

However it's currently in boxes....
For those who are not sure.... it's a Matchless G12CSR. AMC's 650 sports bike.

Should keep you busy for a few weekends.
If you can restore it to look like the picture it will be a crowd puller!
Its always nice to see these bikes out and about.
Have fun ;)
Sounds like a big project, but looking forward to seeing it back in one piece!

C'mon show us the boxes ....you must have "before and after" history to tell your grandchildren. If you can get it looking like in the pictures you will have done a great job :)
It's BIG Dabz. About the size of your triumph but a lot heavier!!!!!
Will do Snowy. Just have to get it home first.

What does it look like now?
Neat, well done Jon. Have fun - bad enough doing one from a rolling wreck let along in large lumps. Although if in boxes not so large lumps. Is it all there? Well as much as any basket case is all there :D

Looks good mate, look forward to seeing it in the metal :)

If you can get in looking like the photo... DROOOOOOOL!!!!
I hope to see an overly detailed thread of its rebuild!!!
I reckon a build thread is in order ;)
What does it look like now?
Boxes. and odd bits of metal. But most of it is in very good condition. The previous owner had the engine and box re-built the dynamo and magneto refurbished and a bit of painting and chroming done.
The bike was complete but hasn't run since the 70's.
It's all there but some of it need replacing. The current list of parts needed is:
Front and rear mudguards
Clutch basket / sprocket
Rear drum / sprocket
Silencer
This list will grow.
