Less than 300 miles a year?! Will probably need a damn good service and tyres/battery if its not been used much. Not even run in properly at that mileage is it?

My OH bought one brand new a few years ago a bright yellow FZ1N - lovely bike.

He loved it, he only decided to sell it as he wanted a bigger touring bike at the time and p/ex'd it for an FJR1300. :(

He added a few extra's including a tiny screen which he found was a huge improvement. I think it was a Puig?? screen.

It is from pheonix motorcycles. So all should be appropriate im sure. And im still an asbo at times im afraid so I dont need to upgrade to an armchair just yet, but I do need some source of comfort and reliability as I am doing alot of miles and do take pillion every now and again. I was looking at a flyscreen and an acra exhaust :-)

Thats because I wasnt riding it :-) ps. First mod is loose a tooth on front sprocket, as fith and sixth have longer gearing than r1

You will be wanting this address then mate
www.foc-u.co.uk

Trust me you wont need to change the gearing to get the front wheel up :o

The only thing I might suggest is perhaps a power commander specially as you may go the akra route :)

most of all enjoy mate, It will be a completely different animal to the GSXR ;D

rode an fz6 (I think....) the 600cc fazer a while ago. Riding position wasn't to my taste, but went, handled and stopped well. Looked well made too.

So I baught a fz1, it is absolutely foooooking awsome! I love it. I baught the bike with new high comp pistons and crank, ported and polished witha full akra system and a pc3! it was running a bit surgey and lumpy. So I baught a pc5 and had it remapped and it is now running 183.6 bhp, its an untaimed beast!!!!!!!!! you were saying they dot wheelie well....... it lifts the front up in 1st-4th by itself and I even maneged to clutch up at 120 ish today! its insane!

it still is lovely to poodle about on also, and feels sagfer on rainy days.

Tank range is only 100 miles and it tears up rear tyres.

But overall I love it :-)

The bike was 1 previous owner and 2k on the clock, its 07 plate with many lovely extras. All for £5500. bargain :-)
