Saw the bike on the way to the h&c out the corner of my eye (someone else had stopped I believe) and its still there now! Couldn't see it properly but it didn't look very good lying on the grass verge!
Hope he's ok and heels soon

Yea was me. I'm Ok other than bumps and bruises. Stiffening up good and proper now. Another SMIDSY - even admitted I front of police, yet the driver coming towards me saw me a mile off. Bike is a wreck but I'm in one piece. Now waiting for royal mail to actually notify their insurers of the incident (something they still hadn't done at 5pm-the accident gapped at 10:30) got a feeling the depot manager >:( is making sure the drivers story is correct..... >:(

Glad to hear you're relatively unscathed - rest up, get the insurance sorted and get back on a bike again.

Saw that on the way to the Harp and thought it was Crosbie's Honda.

Glad he's ok.

... is this the end for the "challenged" Honda or will it do a Christine???

Yea I have a feeling it will be the end for the challenged cbr. Nevermind. Woke up very sore and stiff today with more aches and pains in places they weren't yesterday. Royal mail still haven't filled their report. Wish they would hurry up so I can forget about it and just relax

Glad to here you are relatively unscathed looking at the state of the bike you are a lucky man to have come away without much more injuries, Good luck with the insurance claim.

Glad your not seriously injured. The last part of your post maybe closer to the truth than you think. A postie reversed into my bright red XR3i (some years go) Royal Mail tried to avoid responsibility, despite the fact that a) my car was parked b) I had a signed confession from the driver.

Well thought i would just update to say i found out today that Royal Mail have admitted full liability and will be covering all costs. Just got to wait for all the medical stuff to go through etc. Chuffed to bits. A month is a long time to be without your own transport.

Just got to decide on what bike to buy now.... thats the hard decision....

Glad they are playing ball, any thoughts on what you might buy?

Ideally i would go get myself a Diavel but money being what it is (low) this is out of the window. ;D

I will be using the bike the same that i did before - every day to and from work, for work use going to meetings all over the country and for weekend rides. The new one needs to be comfortable for longer rides, fairly efficient (was getting 50mpg from the 600 before on a good day) and reasonable on insurance and no more than £3K (i think thats what my payout will total there or there abouts).

Suggestions on a post card.

Did you miss the insurance bit? as a rider holding a licence for 1 year with 1 years no claim bonus, 3 points from 4 years ago covering 12000 miles a year I think they might just want a little bit more than I’m prepared to shell out lol.

I wouldn’t mind one though! hehe :D

Good to hear this is progressing, shame about the potential insurance costs restricting your options tho'
