Is there anyone in Wilts who can re-tap a thread on my engine case? Its a 99 sv650- One of the many alternator bolts doesnt tighten it just spins! Appears the numpty who owned it before overtightened it! Any help would be appreciated!

Where are you and what is the thread?

You will need to either thread insert or helicoil it. I can do these things, but you may need to buy helicoils.
