So i dragged the textiles out yesterday, for the first time in 2 years, and had a horrible ride in. Slip sliding all over the seat, couldn't grip the tank, and the trousers rucked up painfully behind the knee. How do you AWB'ers cope???

Mine act pretty well except for my jacket which seems to have developed a habit of creasing in on my stomach. That doesn't bother me until it rains. Water collects in the crease and bingo! Wet guts!

Thinking of the money saved on fuel keeps me warm!!!!

don't have any issues with mine, depends on the outer material i guess? if you were thinking on doing it long term how about some stomp grips to help with knees on the tank? I have velcro round the bottom which stops them riding up and giving my knees gip but you could always put some 'twisties' round the bottom of your leg.

What makes your kit?

Get some Rukka kit, I haven't looked back since, these cold mornings even with rain are nothing for that stuff!

Like a hardened outer shell :) Hands stay pretty warm with their gloves even on morning like today (I have no heated grips or guards) when it was around 0 Deg C.

LOL @ Rukka. It's HG kit, and tbh with the amount of winter riding i do, it isn't getting replaced. Stomp grip is a good idea, shall be buying that today, need something for the seat i think though. Does Nooj do Stomp grip??

no idea if he does the grips but for the seat i use the rubber matting you can get to stop stuff sliding on the dashboard in the car but i only need that on the seat when wearing leathers and i've either cleaned the bike or the leathers.

I've bought some of that grippy stuff too :) Last time I took my son on the back of my bike he was sliding forwards when I braked so much he almost pushed me over the handlebars. ;D

wear your textiles more , like leathers they develop a memory, my never slip up, although i gave up wearing anything other than thermals under them a long time ago, as already said the only real issue isnt so much the cold, I would always rather be too cold than hot when riding, the adrenalin always fixes that, but the wet belly scenario, always :( rain runs over the screen and tank and then sure enough always soaks through around the guts no matter how well or far down your jacket is. . . . . . youll soon get used to it.

I wear my leathers 365.
If it rains or it is REALLY COLD I pop my all in one Spada suit over the top!
Best £40 I have ever spent (Spada rainsuit!)
