Just a follow on thread from a conversation i was having with a mate the other day.

On an average day out on the bike, how far do you tend to go?

Even if i just go out for a ride after work it will normally end up being about 70-100 miles. Whereas my mate would rarely go further than 50 unless it was a ride with others

So how far do you normally go?!!!

I've done 6000 miles in the last year on my bike.
So that's an average of 500 miles a month, 125 miles a week

All of that is just for fun

Ive had my bike for 2 mths and done just short of 2000 fun filled miles. Think my usual ride is about 3-4 hrs so looking at about 100 - 150 miles i guess. All of it is for fun.

Since 1st March this year I have done 12000 miles - on for a total of about 16000 per year.
Probably about 20% bimble mileage 'ish

Well, I just got back from a medium ride out and did 116 miles. I love long ones as there is almost nothing better than being on a bike. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Normally I get to the emergency fuel point find a petrol station and go back, so about 300 miles depending on how hard I am riding the bike.

Nothing but than cruising through the countryside without a care in the world.

Work is 65 mile round trip, the Strom handles that. The Trumpet has just under 1000 miles of pure fun on it since Jun.
Since petrol is due to get even more expensive, the bimbling will take a cut >:(

if warming the bikes through about 40 miles on each, if I go for a decent ride it can be up to 100 miles (not on both bikes tho ;D)

Hmm... I do about 10k on the GS, 1k on the Cub and 2k on the Sv.

I do 24 miles per day commuting, plus any other errands. My usual ride is 20 - 40 miles unless I'm going somewhere.

Depends mainly on which bike - the MT03 anything from a quick 20 minute blast to all day 400+ miles (painful!!), I guess 150' ish about the norm.
The gixer750 tends to be a be 100 - 150 but the odd short blast as well if I get an hour to spare and the roads are dry.
X7 and KDX usually only short runs, KDX mostly in mud ;)
Haven't had the gixer11 out this year, was the same as the 750 but think it will be relegated to high days and holidays form now on.
Finally my little Yam 50 step thru; gets loads of run outs, 3 or 4 time a week but mainly 5 - 10 miles with the odd 'long distance tour' around the New Forest 20 - 30 miles ;D
