I received my first Pinlock visor yesterday for my birthday and SH&T these are fantastic!

Coming to work this morning just no need to open the visor a little to allow some airflow when stopped at lights to prevent the visor steaming up, instead I breathed as hard as I could and nothing happened :D.

My only regret, I wish I had purchased one sooner!

QUESTION:

I normally wipe my visor down with water and a kitchen style towel when I get into work everyday, as it doesn't seem to scratch it, but what other methods do you guys use?

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all!

Pinlock's are brilliant :)

I use Muc-off squirty doofer (http://muc-off.com/en/motorcycle/67-helmet-visor-optix-pack.html?category=motorcycle) on mine but as long as you're not damaging your visor use what you want.

Kitchen towels will scratch your visor over time - I use washing up liquid to clean, rinse under water then dry with a soft cloth.

Should have added that I then coat with SDoc plastic polish which helps any rain water bead and run off the visor easily.

I tend spit on the visor helps to stop misting. ::)

Welcome to the pinlock fan club 8-)
I have one on my old helmet but can't get one for my new Shark although that doesn't mist up yet

Hello fellow Pinlock fan as one who converted not long ago too - yep they are brilliant :) :)

I use this with a soft cloth if it needs more than water -

Yep, use this too when out and about - keep one on the bikes all the time. :)

Thanks guys, I have a soft micro fibre cloth that come with, so I will just wash it and dry with that!

Yes they are flipping amazing!! I will never go back to a standard visor! 8-)

Pinlock rocks, if it didn't exist I'd have to use an open face helmet! ::)

Carry on cleaning your visor as normal, but be gentle on the pinlock as it can scratch easily.
If my pinlock needs cleaning, I wash it in warm slightly soapy water, rinse well and then air dry.

I don't clean my pinlock very often, just the outside mostly
