Just had great service from M&P - ordered a pair of tyres for the bike yesterday morning, wasnt in any mad hurry for them, the very nice man who I spoke to on the phone said normal delivery was up to 5 days but generally quicker, less than 48 hours and they are here. Brilliant service :) Great price too £145 for Bridgestone BT016's 120/70/ZR17 and 180/55/ZR17 :)

Bad day, moi? Not at all actually, Nicky, in fact it's been quite a good one (booked time off work for my first proper, sit around in the sun and relax-type holiday in three years) - I just become exasperated by people's inability to find anything out for themselves, or is it just plain laziness?

I'll run it past Dabz, but I'm fairly certain you don't actually need to own a bike to be part of the forum.

It's no wonder this place is dying a death when that's the attitude of so called 'senior members!

Why don't the pair of you stop bitching on here. I for one am getting sick of it.

Because it's not the first time I've seen newbies, or even non-newbies, comment on how unfriendly the place seems because certain people seem to have a 'less-than-helpful' nature about them.

Everybody is different, and I'm pretty sure the reason ask questions on here rather than go to google, is because they value the experience that people have on here. Whether you currently own a bike or not (kind of irrelevant to be honest).

When you 'sort out' those people and help them to understnd that if they want to be like that, they might be better off over on the MCN boards, then by all means I'll stop 'bitching' as you put it.

I've dealt with enough bullies in my time to know the best thing you can do is stand up to them and tell them politely to foxtrot oscar. And that is exactly how some people come across. Intimidating and arrogant. If that's the kind of forum you want, where people are scared to ask basic questions without having consulted google first, then fine. It never used to be like this.

Where's the bitching?

I do actually think Squashed Fly has a really valid point.

Dont you all find it odd lots of newbies join and so very few post here on the forum?

It's not a terribly friendly place at the moment being really honest is it?

I'm sure some peoples comments aren't always as miserable as they sound but its becoming pretty apparent that people are being put off asking questions and posting for fear of such negative comments.

Absolutely - I love M&P ;D ;D

All good threads are allowed to go a little off topic now and again.

Can I also plug M&S while we're at it? Their suits last forever, and they will almost literally let you return anything (provided you bought it there to start with!).

Maybe we could extend this to any other companies that start with an M too? ;D
