As a hobby I renovate 1980s Bmx's and I'm in the process of renovating an original 80s Mongoose freestyle BMX (rare as unicorn poo) thats spent 25 years outside so it's kinda rusty. I spent an hour yesterday trying to free up the freecoaster bearings on the rear wheel and absolutely nothing worked, duck oil etc penatrated but didn't have the slip to get it moving so out of desperation and on the verge of binning the original freecoaster and fitting an aftermarket part, which is summit I detest doing, I got an empty bottle of 3in1 oil and put 2ins of engine oil an 1in of wd40 in gave it a shake and squirted some on the freecoaster, not exaggerating within 2 minutes I had movement and within 5 minutes it was spinning away happily.
I know what il be using on rusty stuck parts in future.

    Now that's an interesting idea
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”
