Excellent evening, very informative and well worth attending
Just got home from doing the "biker down" course at the Wiltshire air ambulance base, I honestly can't recommend it enough, it was a good informative evening and Dean and Fred are very good at getting the point across in a way where the important information sticks in your head, I hope I never need to use what I learnt tonght but it's in there if it's needed.
if you've not done the course then book it, it's free and could save a life.
A couple of days after doing the course I found an old lady lying in the road at Morrisons.
After helping her (she was fine and a passing friend gave her a lift home) I realised I'd captured the whole thing on my cam.
I watched in horror as I did everything wrong.
Didn't block off the road, ran straight over, had my back to oncoming traffic etc.
I guess you can't educate some people.
Ah well, Wiltshire Builders, most importantly you stopped and helped and recognise the mistakes so should be ok next time.
Coming out of Bristol last week some guy rolled his car right in front of us.
It was a 30mph bit of road and the guy was fine, just a bit shook up, so there was no need for our newly learnt skills.
But, you just never know when something is gonna go bang.
Tis a very worthwhile course. If you haven't already, go and do one
