You must feel sorry for the Dunlop family, firstly uncle Joey, then father Robert and now son William has died practising for an Irish road race. Makes you wonder why Michael keeps on racing...

RIP another great racer and a lovely fella.
As for Michael, he is a troubled driven man
Its in their blood mate, part of who they are and where they have been. Cant really see that its anything related to being jinxed as such, more to appreciate the fact that racing whether it be on track or more so on the roads, is a dangerous sport, with tragic consequences when something goes wrong, and not always within the riders control. RIP William
It's very sad but it's a fact of life that going fast is dangerous, any family with a lot of racers in it is statistically going to lose members in incidents like this. Doesn't make it any easier for the family left behind knowing that though.
RIP to a great rider.
There's no such thing as being jinxed, karma, fate or any other name we try to give a turn of events in order to rationalise it.
It's just a very sad situation and a great loss to the world of road racing.
I've just finished reading Michael's Dunlop autobiography 'Road Racer' - kids got it for me for fathers day; highly recommend it. The whole Dunlop family has had a tough life and Michael spends a lot of time speaking of the respect he has for the way William rides. Really shocking news.
