    Wow. What a day.

Brilliant crispy sunbeamy weather if a teeny bit draughty on the fingers.

Happy smiley peeps and almost 70 very asst. bikes. Had loads of good comments, and those to whom I spoke took the JM lapses in good spirit (more on that in a seperate post later).

Chaos rained but we didn't get wet . Didn't get any lunch either .

Many thanks to Toph & Sue who managed to put up with the failings with good humour. Thanks to all those JMs who took their responsibilities seriously. Several nasty junctions, all controlled very well.

    I've almost recovered.

    Next ????

Thanks Larry for taking this one on...daunting to say the least with nearly 70 bikes to lead..
Excellent route, great choice of quiet roads, pretty towns and villages and even a bit of faster stuff so the quick 'uns could have a play!
We disappeared across the road to the pub for lunch...best Steak and Ale pie I've had for a while..sorry you missed your lunch mate..
All in all a triffic day out on the bike..thanks again.

All in all Larry it was a cracking day ! I reckon being the first LARGE rideout of the season , with those sort of numbers and a considerable amount who don't usually ride with us and aren't familiar with "The System" , it was inevitable that there might be a few teething problems .

Wow, 70 bikes, that takes some managing, have to say I've never ridden in such a large convoy. Not really my sort of thing but hats off to all those who organised and marshalled, pleased it went so well and everyone enjoyed it.
