Hi, I have a 1981 Kawasaki CSR which won't fire on cylinder 1 and 4. I have checked both coils and HT leads and plugs, all ok. I tried the power leads to the coil that controls no1 and no4 cylinder on the other coil and it did not work. It seems there is no signal coming from the igniter to those two wires. Could it be the igniter or the signal/ power from the stator up to the igniter etc. it's really expensive to change the igniter so wondered if anyone had a similar bike or igniter that I could try on mine to see if it will fire up all 4 cylinders before I go ahead and buy one. If anyone has any idea what might be the problem and where I might get any parts if I need any could you give me a shout. I have my bike in Corsham.

Welcome to the group. It would be best to put your question under the tech section as not everyone looks here. Good luck getting it fixed.

Hi Conehead, thanks for the welcome and advice. How do you get to the Tech section on the site?

    Hi and welcome
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”
