Hello and welcome.
Just sold my FZ8 and bought an XJR1300 which i pick up on Saturday, also off to France in the summer..

I'm loving the xjr,I'm not a speed freak ,I need my driving license too much, so a naked suits me, 80mph is comfortable cruising,effortless torque from any revs,low saddle and looks retro,in keeping with my age .. hope you enjoy yours as much as i do mine
