Thanks Mal, will defo take it easy. I've been looking at youtube a fair bit, to see what the licence modules are like, & there are some vids where the instructors have helmet cams and they are narrating the potential hazards as they ride - things car drivers wouldn't necessarily look out for. interesting stuff :-)
Hi Swanny, she's a beaut mate no doubt about that!... but I think I'd be looking for something older/cheaper/rougher for my first. - and that won't be till early next year.

I concur with Matthews677 as I did my DAS not long ago and once passed I got my 1000. I had been riding before so the size was not a problem. I have heard the ER6 is a good bike to learn on as very forgiving.
