    The cub has died....

Stranded me in the middle of Bath at 7:30 this morning, AA phoned the AA, who sent a car recovery van... duh! :-? and am now waiting for the flatbed to appear at 11:30..... great!

The cause, a loss of power and a loud knocking sound.... sounds like big end to me.... great!

    Joys of british bikes.

Sorry to hear that Jon Surely you could have slung it in the back of the recovery van though? :P

I have the feeling I may be starting the Bugger #3 thread soon, as the CG has developed a knock too....bad times.

Took the sump plug out last night....

I don't remember that white metal there when I took it out last.... :-? :-?

Alas, this is a known weak spot on the Cub engine, and the only bearing I didn't replace when I last stripped the engine.

It will live again, but probably not for a few months. Am going to get the Sv back on the road first and strip the engine to find the full extent of the damage.
