8-) 8-) 8-)
one nice shiny frame
i have a problem though when trying to refit the swing arm pivot bolt it refuses to catch the thread.
i cant force it as it is starting to strip the thread .....real scared it will knacker the thread and leave my frame useless
swingarm reunited with frame and rear shock installed.
hopefully have my engine back next week and can get that back in
lack of funds mean no new shock but that will be replaced at a later date.
i under estimated the build cost majorly so new shinys have taken a back seat for now.
my aim is just to get it back on road and then i can replace things when i have ££ ;D
Doing a great job mate, wish I had the confidence to take on a project like the one you are undertaking.
Coming along nicely!!!!!
after another break from my rebuild due to financial stress a update
engine back from mechanics ......valve clearances were shot to sh!t. 13 shims were needed....he said on paper my engine shouldn't have been running.
finances will not allow a new rear shock or front forks at the moment so the originals are back in.
engine is back in wiring loom all back in (that took some figuring out).
exhaust headers de-rusted and heat painted. with new gaskets fitted and stainless header bolts.
next is to source a new reg rec and refit charging system (after the reg rec blew for the 2nd time last year)
some small wiring connections to be done.
then refit cooling system.
here are some pics

looking good. wish I had your patience
