Now if it wasn's so heavy duty looking that would be brilliant for running in especially up the White Horse at night , instead we have to wear head torches to be seen with cyalume sticks pinned to the backs of our jackets

I think as long as the lights are attached to you & not the bike, it's OK. If they are fitted to the bike itself, then it's a real no-no.
