Field Engineer for Canon - Fix, install and network MFDs (like complex photocopiers). Get covered in toner and drive all over, from South Bristol down to as far as Poole/Weymouth areas. Yawn
Obzy Do you have anything to do with Ikon?
My partner does the same job for Amey [/quote]Originally Posted by Bundy1112
Spooky, as I also work for Amey, formally Owen Williams. We were taken over by Amey last year. I work in Swindon I suppose your other half is in Bristol?
nah - I work for Canon itself - have heard ikon are a good employer though.Originally Posted by FJ_Biker
Want to stay with Canon for now, as we're getting nice motors (Golf Estates '08 models) in the new year. May seem like a lame reason, but I spend more waking time in my car than at home, so it's nice to have a good one
Me I'm an IT manager for a pub management company.
I've been doing it since the IBM XT's ran the world and seemed fast (6mhz processor) a lot has changed I've put on weight, gone bald, got thicker glasses, gone grey, loosing my memory & gone grey (have I already mentioned that). Technology has also changed.
Cheers

We used to use Ikon in my last job >
We moved away from them and went with Lintex as we had a few issues Ikon engineers. >
One engineer went out to fix a PC and called up to ask how to install Windows on a PC.
Then another called to ask how to install a Printer on a PC.
After little things like this it put us right off of them. :'(
