Hi - does anyone know of somewhere who will professionally lower/trim and if needed recover the seat on a Piaggio MP3 250 ?

SWMBO has just got an MP3 250 but she is slightly vertically challenged and I would like to get her seat lowered just to give that that bit more confidence

    Any contacts appreciated
    thanks
    Bernie

They're based in Swindon, Annie did a fab job lowering my SV - great customer service to make sure it was just right. Gotta agree once it was done it gave me that bit more confidence!

It can easily be done at home, I ve done a few streetfighters and also do leather carving but that stuff is normaly on the chops and bobbers.
I'd be happy to help you and you can just use the stuff here. If you have a good seat to begin with then its just cutting up the old and either using the olld cover or some leather or new crap seat covers you can buy ??? 8-)

Digger seats, highly recommended - you can post a seat to them too.

I've had a seat done and it was a fantastic job.

Personaly I would never send a seat no mater how good they are, if your going to lower the seat you need to be able to test the seat and if you can take it for a spin, but thats me.
I’ve spoken to and repaired a few seats that have been recovered, lowered and hundreds have been spent. You end up with something thats okay but not perfect and lets face it, if your arse aches from a **** seat you think twice about ‘just popping out for milk’

If you have loads of money, feel free spend away ??? its your money.lol

    SORRY rant over

yeah you could say that, Im one of those people that hate giving money to people and not getting what I want or wanting something and not being able to buy it. So I make it a personal mission to find out as much as I can and do it myself.........
I use to own a chopper and hated the saddle so that started a long and steep learning curve about saddles and carving which I have now been doing for around 4 years.

I appreciate what you say 8 Ball - maybe I was lucky??

When I contacted Digger Seats I explained how much lower I wanted to be and I can honestly say they did a fantastic job on the seat - it was comfortable and looked good too. I cant honestly remember what I paid about £70 ish I think.

I'm pretty handy and have had a go at doing a seat covering and I can do that OK, but when taking some foam out its really easy to mess it up and end up spending money unnecessarily.

Its each to their own but with some things I think its worth paying a professional.
