Speedy recovery Richie, hope not too serious.
Just to let you know that I saw Richie today, and passed on your best wishes. He says thanks for all your kind words and he'll see you soon.
He suffered 2 collapsed lungs (which are doing really well, chest drains are removed now)
A dislocated and fractured shoulder (which has been relocated and fracture sorted)
and a broken wrist which has been wired and has been cast.
He's got freddy kruger type cuts on his neck, and worst of all, his new 2 month old alpinestars leathers were cut off him and have disappeared!
Bless him, he's in really good spirits, and will be up and about in no time. Still in ICU at the moment, with his own room, telly and morphine button.
Get well soon Rich xx
Jeez makes me feel like i got away lucky with mine
as said before though i hope he makes a full recovery as we need to do another track day this year
Glad to hear he is in high spirits.
2 collapsed lungs and a dislocated shoulder sounds really painful and very serious. Looks like he is not going to be riding for a while but hopefully he won't miss all of the summer. I hope he won't of lost all of his nerve too.
Other than the presence of a bus does he know how it happened?
Best wishes to Ninja-Richie.
I read about the injuries on MCN-Ninja's and they don't sound nice at all, but at least they are being addressed by the doctor's and Richie is in good spirit.
He must be gutted about his Alpinestar's and he'll be missing his track day now which will be a big pisser for him.
He can't remember it at all...this is all stuff he overheard by a biker who was following him. He says he was on the road from Malborough to Pewsey when it happened. Lost the front on gravel, bike went one way, he went the other into a bus.Originally Posted by buck

That road has some tight old bends on it, and he's not the first to lose it on there. That's the trouble with rural roads, a bit of rain and then silt across the bends, not good.

thanks for update schwee and your right he's full up and won't have lost his nerve, is it going to mess up his getting out of the army date?
HC - I don't think so as AFAIK he's already finished his "active" work.
