Not being able to sleep, im totally and utterly shattered, and i was pretty much asleep in my chair earlier, so i stay up so i don't wake up to early, then cant bloody sleep aragh!!!

Used to struggle as well.... Not nice.
Yup happens to me daily, lying it bed staring at the inside of my eyelids for hours on end!
get yourself out and do some running or some good CV training , you sleep much better for it , normally because your body is broken and needs sleep time to mend! Either that or get one of those self hypnosis CD's they work a treat too !
