Been off-line for a few days as my 'phone had a terrible buzzing noise. Engineer (evenshuuallly) arrived and climbed the telegraph pole several times, disappeared into my cellar several times and then declared it all sorted.

However, whilst the 'phone was perfik, I no longer had an internet connection.

Today, another engineer arrived and sorted that as well. Happy as Larry now.

Have now realised just how much I rely on the internet.

Shopping, banking, social media games and general info...

Yes, it's scarey isn't it. Welcome back Burbs

Cheers BB & Train. Am trying to come to grips with (probably) not getting my leg over ever again. Quite traumatic.

That's a pity, remind me what the reason(s) for that are, would a 'downgrade' to something smaller/slower be a possible option?

Good question (as the politicians say). I have a bad back, and bad neck jointly (ha ha) from a spinal problem. Also, I have very little strength in my legs. Riding would be no problem but trying to hold the bike when stationary could be a catastrophe.

Very sorry to hear that, and apologies, I'm sure I recall reading that in a previous post. My dear Dad has stenosis of the spine, among his many other issues, so do know what you mean, he would love to ride bike just one more time but the stationary bike would be too much for him and if it caused him to fall it would be a catastrophe. Having typed all that, I am fortunate to have a few bikes and one or to of them are of the smaller, bit lighter variety and you would be welcome to try them out if you could get down my way. The other option is I could put a couple in the back of my van and bring them to you although I'm quite busy at the moment so will need to find a slot for a day out. Have you tried any for size/weight at a local dealer?

Have you considered something like this Burbs ?

One of the guys, VFRDude ? from a few years back. He rode his wife’s Yamaha 3 wheeler to one of Beamer’s care home visits. (I might be able to find a pic of it in the gallery threads) He loved it ! Said once you’d got your head around it, it was great, super stable etc

    Berniebloke was his name

I was confusing him with ZZRDude.
    Oops & sorry to both
