I must confess we spent most of the afternoon catching up on a boxed set off the iplayer...

May have to do some more over the next week
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”

Ive just replaced the piston and rings/gaskets on Sams pit bike. Started using oil, so I gave it a go! Took the engine out of the bike so i could work on it on the bench. not too bad a job to take it apart, owe a lot to youtube on that one. replace to piston and rings, all gaskets as well, cleaned to valves which were a bit of a state. sorted out the problem with the leaking carb, stripped and cleaned this as well. All back in the bike now, fitted a quick action throttle, re soldered the electrical connectors where they had deteriorated, and all back in the frame. had a test run yesterday, and all good so far, sounds much better
