I did have one of these in the early 90s though, a puch maxi luxe. In fact it it was my 1st motorbike and gave me my 1st taste of 2 wheeled fun.
It wasn't actually a bad bike once I took the shopping baskets of and it did 35mph (or the speedo said it did anyway).
In a spooky bit of coincidence 25 years later I won an eBay auction for a car and when I went to collect it the old boy selling it was the same bloke I'd bought the puch from 25 years before.

If MZ's count - yes. They should do as they are the cream of bikes. Still have one among the others in the garage.

I just missed out on the 250 two strokes as the law change just in time for me turning 17....damn. I started off with a Puch just for the fields, not exactly made for off road. Then had a FS1E (fizzy) so wish i had kept that as the price now is crazy. Then moved to a DT125 before moving to cars.........for a long time.
    My bikes looked like these

Far too young for 250 learner legals but from riding Trev's X7 I'm shocked any of you survived the 70's

I'll have you know I was riding my X7 in the 80's, just ; )

It was Gary Glitter we had to worry about in the 70's : (

I was into trailies when I turned 17 in 1977.. didn't buy a GT, an RD or a KH...I treated myself to a TS250 Suzuki..haven't got a pic of my actual bike..but it was identical to the one in the pic.
Had some good times on that little beastie...

Gilera trial 50, Suzuki X5, mates had GT185 and YDS7 (rd250) I had CB250, they raced ahead and I passed them while they were cooling the bikes down.
apart from crossers YZ250, 465, 500 , CR500, KX250, 500, Husky CR250 many of which turned into super moto all thats left is a RXS100 Yam thats going up for sale soon.

Yup, after a year on a Fizzy (purple one, natch), I had a GT250M - the one with the Suzuki Ram Air System on it - all that appeared to do was make plug removal more difficult. Following a year on the meaty GT I passed my test and moved onto bigger 4-stroke UJMs for years. Before getting a car licence I did have a later GT250C (last one before the X7) as a winter bike - both GTs holed the right piston due to the points advancing, a task that needed regular attention, something that I obviously failed to do....
