Yup! I had the same problem .... ie you make a change to your particulars or the policy there charge you £20+ .
The solution to this ( and it's not confined to bike insurance), is to make any changes to your NEXT YEAR's policy ... before you commit to the renewal. You will not be charged for these changes.
